KISS Frontman PAUL STANLEY Working On 'Beth' Portrait

June 3, 2006

KISS' official web site, KissOnline.com, has been updated with "in-the-works" photos of the different stages in the completion of KISS frontman Paul Stanley's latest painting, "Beth" — a portrait of original KISS drummer Peter Criss' "Catman" character. This is the final painting in his KISS portrait series, which features "Love Gun" (Paul),"God Of Thunder" (Gene Simmons) and "Shock Me" (Ace Frehley). Paul will premiere the entire series at Célébrités Galleries in Maui, Hawaii on June 14. Next week KissOnline.com will debut a photo of the finished Peter painting along with complete details of his upcoming art show.

In other news, VH1 is auctioning off an autographed KISS "VH1 Rock Honors" guitar, with proceeds going to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation (which tries to restore music education programs in America's public schools). The customized Gibson guitar — which comes directly from the taping of the show on May 25 — features "VH1 Rock Honors" artwork and is signed by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. The guitar comes with a Certificate of Authenticity plus a customized "VH1 Rock Honors" Jodi Head guitar strap. Other items in the auction include similar guitars signed by QUEEN, DEF LEPPARD and JUDAS PRIEST.
